With profound sorrow and heartfelt reverence, we announce the passing of Guadalupe Hinjosa Rodriguez, a cherished soul whose radiant spirit and boundless kindness enriched the lives of all who had the honor to know her. Born on December 14, 1946, in Mabton, Washington, Guadalupe departed this life on June 7, 2026, in New Braunfels, Texas, leaving behind a legacy defined by love, dedication, and unwavering warmth.
Guadalupe’s vocation as an educator was emblematic of her generous nature and her deep commitment to nurturing the potential within others. A graduate with a bachelor’s degree in education and a minor in bilingual education, she devoted many years to the noble calling of teaching—a profession through which she imparted knowledge, wisdom, and compassion. Her classroom was not merely a place of learning but a sanctuary where every student felt welcomed and encouraged.
Her personality was a balm to those around her; kind and welcoming, she possessed a beautiful smile and a sparkling sense of humor that could lift spirits effortlessly. Guadalupe was truly the epitome of grace and dedication as the best wife, mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother. Her warm-hearted embrace and infectious laughter remain etched forever in the memories of her loved ones.
Guadalupe’s loving family includes her husband of 55 years, Arnoldo Rodriguez; her son, Domingo Sanchez Rodriguez with his wife Jessica Garza Rodriguez, and her daughter, Julissa Annette Rodriguez, engaged to James Todd Randolph; alongside numerous brothers and sisters residing in Washington. She was a treasured grandmother to four beloved grandchildren: Savannah Marie Alaniz, David Jay Lozoya, Lilah Nicole Rodriguez, and Nicholas James Rodriguez. Guadalupe’s affectionate smile and nurturing presence will continue to live on through each of them.
Her journey in this life was shaped by the enduring bonds of family. She was born to her biological parents, Horacio and Flora Hinojosa, and was raised by Victor and Petra Sanchez, who shaped her early years with love and care. She is mourned alongside the memory of her son, Victor Arnoldo Rodriguez, and her brother, Domingo Sanchez, who have preceded her in eternal rest.
