Guadalupe Chapa Rivera

Weslaco- Guadalupe Chapa Rivera, 71, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco.

Mrs. Rivera was born on October 11, 1953 to Mr. Procopio Chapa and Mrs. Dominga Valdez Chapa in Weslaco, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Procopio Chapa and Mrs. Dominga Valdez Chapa; her husband, Jose Rivera Sr.; her brothers, Baldomero Chapa, Casimiro Chapa, Arcadio Chapa, Daniel Chapa.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Hanibal (Anita) Escalon, Alcides (Ruby) Rivera, Jose Rivera Jr.; her brothers, Procopio Chapa Jr., Horacio Chapa; her sisters, Viola Haley, Adelina Martinez; her grandchildren, Emma Escalon, Diego R. Escalon, Marina V. Escalon, Jacqueline Escalon and 2 great-grandchildren.

As per her wishes, Mrs. Rivera will be cremated at a later date.

She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.

Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco.
