Edcouch- Guadalupe V. Bernal, 91, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 18, 2023 in Pleasanton, Texas. Guadalupe Bernal was born to Mateo & Francisca Villanueva on July 30, 1932 in Elsa, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Mateo & Francisca Villanueva; her husband Juan M. Bernal, her Daughter Linda Bernal and grandchildren, Paloma Bernal, Matthew Bernal & Mario Bernal.
Left to cherish her memories are her sons: Leroy Bernal, Eddie Bernal, Jimmy Perez, adopted grandson Elias Bernal and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
During her time in our presence, Guadalupe Bernal enjoyed traveling, shopping, and especially attending her Pentecostal Church every Wednesday and Sunday. She was a gentle soul. A very patient and soft-spoken woman whose faith in God was never shaken.
"Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain; but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own work praise her in the gates."
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Visitation for Mrs. Guadalupe V. Bernal is scheduled for Wednesday, November 29, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of the Angels in Elsa. A Chapel Service will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of the Angels. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.
