Graciela Valenzuela

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Graciela Valenzuela, beloved mother,daughter, sister, grandmother and cherished friend. Graciela was born on September 28, 1956, in Lubbock, Texas, and departed this life on March 26, 2026, in Weslaco, Texas, at the age of 69. She will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is preceded in death by her father, Felipe Sustaita and one brother, Aurelio Sustaita.

Graciela is survived by 2 sons, Arturo Valenzuela (Gina Garza), Alejandro Valenzuela (Rosa); one daughter, Gina Valenzuela Luna (Justin); mother, Julia Sustaita; two brothers, Santiago Sustaita, Felipe Sustaita, Jr.; five sisters, Estela Ponce, Delia Vargas, Norma Herrera, Olga Guerrero and Oralia Sustaita. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren. Throughout her life, Graciela exemplified strength, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to the well-being of others. Her dedication to her work and her family was a testament to her character and values.

In honor of her life and legacy, a visitation will be held Sunday, March 29, 2026 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of the Heavens with a 6:00 PM Rosary. A 10:00 AM Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Donna, TX on Monday, March 30, 2026, where family and friends will gather to celebrate the love and joy she brought into their lives.

Following the Mass, Graciela will be cremated, and her family will cherish the memories created during her life. As we gather to honor Graciela Valenzuela, let us remember her warmth, her kindness, and her everlasting impact on all who knew her. She will forever remain in our hearts.
