Glafiro Reyna Jr.

Donna- Glafiro Reyna Jr. passed away on September 27, 2026, in Donna, Texas. He was born on October 21, 1927, in Paras, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, and lived a long life marked by faith, humility, love for family, and a warm spirit that brought laughter to those around him.

Glafiro will be remembered as a God-fearing man and a devoted family man whose presence brought comfort and joy. He loved to make people laugh, and that gift of lightheartedness, paired with his humble nature, left a lasting impression on all who knew him. His life was one of quiet strength and deep love, and his example will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

He is survived by his children: his sons, Glafiro (Naftalie) Reyna III and his family, Mario A. (Irma) Reyna and his family, Gerardo (Diana) Reyna and his family, Dr. Jesus R. (Delma) Reyna and his family, and Luis O. (Catalina) Reyna and his family; and his daughters, Mary Lou Reyna and Maybel (Art) Merrill and her family. He is also survived by his brother, Raul Reyna. The love he shared with his family remains a lasting part of his legacy, and his memory will continue to be cherished across the generations.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Encarnacion Reyna; his father, Glafiro Reyna; his mother, Maria Reyna; his brothers, Gilberto Reyna and Reynaldo Reyna; and his sisters, Olga Gomez and Dulia Leal.

Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Glafiro during a public viewing on October 3, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of Grace, 2929 W. Expressway 83, Weslaco, Texas 78599. A funeral service will be held that same day from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of Grace.

Glafiro Reyna Jr. will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for his faith, his laughter, his humility, and the love he gave so freely to his family. May his memory bring comfort and peace to all who knew and loved him.
