Gabino Villarreal

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Gabino Villarreal, a beloved father, brother, and friend, who left this world peacefully on January 7, 2026. He was born on August 25, 1931, in San Perlita, Texas.

Mr. Villarreal is preceded in death by his parents, Anselmo Villarreal & Rosa Leal; his beloved wife, Juana Villarreal; two sons, Gabino Villarreal, Jr., Jose Villarreal, Sr. (Rosia Elia) & four grandchildren.

He is survived by his two daughters, Juana Gonzalez (Roel+) & Rosie Lopez (Jose Manuel). Also surviving are ten grandchildren; numerous great-grandchlildren & great-great grandchildren. Each held a special place in his heart and will carry forward the legacy of his kindness and strength.

Family and friends are invited to honor Gabino's memory during the funeral services that will take place at Salinas Funeral Home Elsa - Chapel of the Angels on Sunday, January 11, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A 10:00 AM funeral service will be held on Monday, January 12, 2026 at Salinas Funeral Home of Elsa - Chapel of The Angels. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco, TX.
