Weslaco- Francisco Mancha Moreno, a husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on December 20, 2025, in McAllen, Texas. Born on April 21, 1947, in Pharr, Texas to Mr. Tiburcio Moreno and Sofia Mancha, Francisco was admired for the life he built and the love he shared with those around him.

With a career that spanned 35 years at International Paper Company, Francisco was known not only for his work ethic but also for the warmth he extended in his role as the owner of Su Casa Adult Day Care in Weslaco, a venture he cherished alongside his loving wife, Maria Pilar Moreno. Their partnership was grounded in mutual respect and deep affection, serving as a testament to the strength of their bond.

In his personal life, Francisco was a man of humility and humor. The memories shared with family often showcase his delightful wit, as he had a playful tradition of teasing loved ones about feeling wiser on their birthdays. These light-hearted moments will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew him. Family trips to San Antonio became cherished adventures, highlighting the closeness that was the hallmark of Francisco's relationships. Even as he battled cancer, these times spent together became both precious and invaluable, illuminating a light that strengthened their family ties.

A devoted husband and father, Francisco's love for his children was profound. He often reminded them of his unfinished business-owing hot dogs to Juan, his son, from Sam's Club-a playful reflection of his nurturing spirit. Francisco created a home where family gatherings were not reserved for special occasions; rather, they were a natural extension of the love that filled their lives.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Maria Pilar Moreno; his sons, Frank Tiburcio (Rita) Moreno, Carlos Moreno, and Juan Miguel (Susana) Moreno; his daughter, Belinda (Cesar) Cuellar; his brother, Rogelio Moreno; and his sisters, Lucia Hernandez, Sofia Mata, Delia Perez, and Dalia Moreno; his grandchildren, Marilu Patino, Melinda Gonzalez, Brianna Moreno, Juan D. Moreno, Francisco E. Moreno, Marilyn S. Moreno, Cesar B. Cuellar, Lydia N. Cuellar; his great-grandson, Elias J. Patino and numerous nieces and nephews. The memories of Francisco will always remain vibrant in the hearts of his loved ones.

His legacy will also endure through the spirits of his deceased family: Mary Lou Moreno, his beloved daughter, and brothers Ricardo, Juan, and Guadalupe Moreno, along with sisters San Juana Moreno and Anastacia Saldivar and his parents, Tiburcio Moreno and Sofia Mancha. A piece of him lives on in the hearts of his grandsons, Matteo S. Moreno and Carlos Jose Moreno, whose lives he touched in ways that words cannot fully express.

Francisco Mancha Moreno will be remembered not only as a loving husband and devoted father but as a man with a serious face that belied a heart full of love and kindness. His presence, filled with caring and understanding, will be deeply missed but fondly cherished by all who had the privilege to know him.

Visitation for Mr. Francisco M. Moreno are scheduled for Saturday, December 27, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Sunday, December 28, 2025 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of the Heavens in Weslaco. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 29, 2025 at 1:00 pm at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Weslaco. Interment will follow at Weslaco City Cemetery.
