Francisco Javier Cantu

Weslaco - Francisco Javier Cantu, 78, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Knapp Medical Center.

Mr. Cantu was born November 12, 1945 in General Teran, NUevo Leon, Mexico, son of Perfecto Cantu and Matilde Rodriguez Cantu. He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Perfecto "Peto" Cantu and 2 sisters, Maria de la Luz Cantu Rodriguez and Maria Concepcion Cantu Rodriguez.

Left to cherish his memories are his children, Javier Cantu, Nadia Cantu Dreyer, Aldo Cantu,Marco Antonio Cantu; a brother Monsignor Juan Ramon Cantu and his sisters. Martha Cantu Rodriguez and Magdalena Cantu Rodriguez. Also surviving him are 8 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary at 5:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of Grace in Weslaco. As per his wishes, he will be cremated at a later date.

Funeral servces have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Weslaco.
