Felipa Solis Martinez

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Felipa Solis Martinez, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who left this world peacefully on April 12, 2025, at the age of 89. Felipa was born on August 23, 1935, Fresnillo Zacatecas Mexico, and spent her life embodying resilience, warmth, and an unwavering spirit.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Francisco & Juana Solis; her husband, Juan Martinez; one brother, Mauro Solis; three sisters, Chela Solis, Trinidad Solis & Isabel Solis.

Felipa is survived by her loving son, Mario Martinez (Martina); one brother, Felipe Solis; three sisters, Paula Guerrero, Modesta Solis, Rosa Solis; five grandchildren, April Martinez, Diamond Martinez, Leeanne Martinez, Heaven Martinez, Jonathan Lopez; four great-grandchildren, Sonnie Martinez, Inara Forrester, Alerc Forrester & Elerc Forrester, who carry on her legacy. She was a source of strength and guidance for those who were fortunate enough to know her, leaving an indelible mark on their lives.

Friends and family are invited to attend a public viewing on Wednesday, April 16, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco- Chapel of Grace with a 7:00 PM Prayer Service. Felipa will be cremated as per her wishes.

While we mourn her passing, we also celebrate the remarkable life she lived, the love she shared, and the countless ways she touched our hearts. Felipa's spirit will continue to guide us, and she will forever remain a cherished part of our memories.
