Felipa Martinez Alvarado

Felipa Martinez Alvarado, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished member of her family, entered into eternal rest on August 3, 2026, in Gun Barrel City, Texas, at the age of 101.

She was born on May 5, 1925, in Weslaco, Texas, to Juan Martinez and Maria Ybarra. Throughout her remarkable life, Felipa exemplified strength, resilience, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family. She lived a life rich in love, faith, and compassion, leaving behind countless treasured memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Felipa found her greatest joy in her family. Her gentle spirit, warm heart, and selfless nature made her a source of comfort, wisdom, and encouragement to generations of loved ones. Her legacy of unconditional love and enduring faith will continue to inspire all who were blessed to share in her life.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Juan Martinez and Maria Ybarra; her devoted husband, Adan Alvarado; and her son, Jose Alvarado.

Left to honor and cherish her memory are her son, Arnold Alvarado; her three daughters, Diana Rodriguez, Eva Buenrostro, and Yolanda Lara; along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

Though her physical presence will be deeply missed, the love, values, and strength Felipa shared throughout her life will continue to live on in the lives of those she touched. May she rest in the eternal peace of God's loving embrace.

Visitation will be held Monday, August 10, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Salinas Funeral Home Weslaco - Chapel of The Heavens.

A 10:00 AM Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at Salinas Funeral Home Weslaco - Chapel of The Heavens. Interment will follow at Weslaco City Cemetery.
