Faustino Cortinas

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Faustino De Jesus Cortinas, a beloved father, friend, and grandfather who left this world on November 17, 2025, at the age of 61 at Valley Regional Hospital in Brownsville, TX. Faustino was born on February 15, 1964, in Matamoros Tamualipas Mexico to Joel Ramon Cortinas & Maria Isabel Jara Cerda.

Mr. Cortinas is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by two sons, Diego Cortinas (Louisa), Josue Cortinas (Sandra) & one daughter, Ana Gabriela Cortinas (Giovanni). Also surviving are six grandchildren.

As we honor Faustino's life, we invite family and friends to gather for a visitation on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Salinas Funeral Home of Brownsville - Chapel of the Heavens with a 6:30 PM Rosary.

Faustino's remains will be respectfully cremated at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna, TX.

In this time of reflection, let us remember the man who brought warmth and kindness to our lives. Faustino Cortinas will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as his legacy of love will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those he touched.
