Weslaco, Texas - Eva M. Vargas, 78, passed away to be with the Lord on August 14, 2024, at Windsor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center Weslaco.

Mrs. Vargas was born on January 16, 1946, in Mercedes, TX to Mr. Pablo Muñoz & Dolores Carrera.

She is preceded in death her parents; her husband, Luis Vargas, Jr. & one brother, Guadalupe Muñoz.

Eva M. Vargas is survived by three sons, Luis Vargas, III (Ruth), Tony Orlando Vargas, Sr. (Mari), Jesus Abram Vargas, Sr. (Crystal Lopez); two daughters, Edna Garcia (Mark), Belinda Vargas De La Garza (Eddie); two brothers, Pablo Muñoz, Jr., Felipe Muñoz; eight sisters, Lydia Torres, Candelaria Torres, Virginia Gibson, Esperanza Gutierrez, Anastacia Ross, Elida De Los Santos, Maria Juarez & San Juanita Treviño. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren & one great-grandson.

Visitation for Eva M. Vargas is scheduled for Monday, August 19, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of the Heavens. Funeral Service is scheduled for 10:00 AM, Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of The Heavens. Interment will follow at Weslaco City Cemetery.
