Eudelia Jaramillo Cantu

February 2, 1957 — May 29, 2026

Eudelia Jaramillo Cantu, born on a crisp February 2, 1957, in Weslaco, Texas, passed away peacefully in Donna, TX, on May 29, 2026. Her departure marked the close of a life that was as full and vibrant, a beacon of kindness, warmth, and laughter to all who knew her.

Those fortunate enough to cross paths with Eudelia will remember her not only as a woman of remarkable kindness and an ever-welcoming spirit but as a soul whose heart was vast and embracing. A great sense of humor softened the challenges she faced, and a big heart guided her every step, making her the linchpin of her family and community alike. Through decades of love and laughter, she stood as the bedrock—truly the best wife, mother, sister, and grandmother anyone could hope for.

Her life's journey threaded through a wonderful tapestry of relationships that defined her spirit and gave her joy. Loving her deeply were her husband of 53 years, Lorenzo Cantu, whose companionship was a testament to enduring love. Her daughters Melissa Cantu Sanchez with Antonio, Jr., and Lori Cantu with Carlos David Sol, along with her cherished ten grandchildren, forever carry pieces of her radiant spirit. The ties of sisterhood were equally strong and were shared with Manuel Peralez, Jr., Noelia Capetillo, and Amelia Capetillo, who knew her as a loyal and devoted sister.

Yet, within the circle of family, there were also those whose memories she imprinted indelibly but whose voices are now echoes in eternity—her sons Lorenzo Cantu, Jr. and Edwardo Cantu, her parents, Macario and Rebecca Jaramillo and her brothers David Jaramillo and Macario Jaramillo, Jr., each leaving behind a void filled with cherished remembrances.

On Monday, June 1, 2026, a viewing will be held from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco—Chapel of Faith, located at 2929 W. Expressway 83 in Weslaco, TX. As her wishes Mrs. Espinoza will be cremated at a later date.

Eudelia Jaramillo Cantu’s life was a shining constellation of love, laughter, and resilience. Her legacy—drawn in the smiles she inspired, the comfort she offered, and the lives she enriched—will continue to radiate through the generations she so lovingly nurtured. Her story remains etched in hearts in Weslaco, Donna, and far beyond—a story of a truly remarkable woman who made the world a gentler, brighter place simply by being herself.
