With profound sorrow, heavy hearts, and unwavering faith in God's eternal promise, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Epifania Rodriguez Ibarra, who was called home to be with our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at the age of 77, surrounded by the love and memories of a lifetime at her residence.
Although her departure leaves an immeasurable emptiness in the hearts of those who loved her, we find comfort in the beautiful words of our Lord Jesus Christ: "I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live." (John 11:25)
Epifania was born on February 6, 1949, in Lockhart, Texas, to Ascencion Rodriguez, Sr. and Josefina Mojica. Her life was a precious gift from God, a journey filled with love, sacrifice, devotion, and countless moments that will forever remain treasured in the hearts of her family.
Throughout her 77 years of life, Epifania was blessed with the greatest riches this world can offer: the love of family, the gift of togetherness, and the beautiful memories created with those closest to her heart. Her life was a testament to the enduring power of love and the importance of the bonds that unite a family through every season of life.
At the center of her beautiful journey was her lifelong partner of 60 years, Ismael Ibarra. Together, they shared six decades of companionship, building a lifetime of memories, experiencing life's joys and challenges, and creating a family whose love will continue to be a reflection of the life they shared. Sixty years together represent a remarkable journey of commitment, devotion, and a love that time can never erase. Though death has brought an earthly separation, the love they shared remains an everlasting treasure.
Epifania leaves behind a beautiful legacy through her beloved children, Mark Anthony Ibarra, Jason Ibarra and his wife, Irene, and Leslie Garza and her husband, Nicolas, Jr. In each of them lives a part of her story, a reflection of the love she gave and the memories that will forever connect them to their mother.
She was also blessed with 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, each representing another beautiful chapter in the legacy of love she leaves behind. Through their lives, their laughter, their accomplishments, and the generations yet to come, her memory will continue to flourish. The love of a grandmother and great-grandmother is a blessing that reaches far beyond a single lifetime, leaving an imprint upon the hearts of generations.
Also left to cherish her precious memory are her loving sisters, Dominga Cerda, and Annie Gonzales, along with extended family members and all those whose lives were touched by her presence.
Epifania now enters eternal rest, reunited in God's loving embrace with those who preceded her in death: her beloved parents, Ascencion Rodriguez, Sr. and Josefina Mojica; her brother, Ascencion Rodriguez, Jr.; and her sisters, Katy Navarro, Celsa Rodriguez and Crispina Herrera. While their absence was felt here on earth, we find peace in the Catholic faith and the hope of a heavenly reunion, where suffering and sorrow are no more and God's everlasting love reigns forever.
Although we must now say our earthly goodbyes, love does not end with death. Epifania will continue to live in the hearts of those who loved her, in the stories that will be shared, in the family traditions that will continue, and in the countless beautiful memories that time can never take away.
"Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen."
Visitation for Mrs. Epifania Rodriguez Ibarra will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Salinas Funeral Home of Elsa - Chapel of the Angels. A Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 PM, followed by interment at Mercedes Memorial Restlawn, where Epifania will be laid to rest.
As family and friends gather to celebrate her life and bid their final farewell, may they find peace in knowing that her earthly journey has ended, but her eternal life in God's loving presence has only just begun.
Funeral services are under the direction of Salinas Funeral Home of Elsa.
Rest peacefully in the arms of our Lord, Epifania. Until we meet again, may the angels lead you into paradise, and may perpetual light shine upon you forever.
