Emily Agustina Gonzales

With hearts filled with profound sadness, the family of Emily Agustina Gonzales announces her passing into the loving arms of the Lord on September 6, 2026, in Edinburg, Texas. Emily was born on October 28, 2014, in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Though Emily's life was far too brief, the love, happiness, and beautiful memories she gave her family will last a lifetime. She was a precious little girl with a big, beautiful smile that could light up any room. Her joyful spirit had a special way of bringing happiness to those around her, and to know Emily was to know a love that was pure, bright, and unforgettable.

Emily loved her family deeply and especially enjoyed watching her brothers play football. She was their biggest fan and their very own cheerleader, always proudly supporting them from the sidelines. Those moments together became treasured memories that her brothers and family will forever hold close to their hearts.

One of Emily's favorite superheroes was The Flash. She would often tell her mom that she wanted to be Flash so she could run fast. It was a simple wish that perfectly captured Emily's youthful imagination and spirited personality. Her family will forever picture her with that radiant smile, full of excitement, love, and life.

Emily leaves behind a family whose lives were forever changed by the privilege of loving her. Although her absence brings an immeasurable sorrow, the happiness she brought into their lives will never fade. Her laughter, her smile, her love for her brothers and her sister, and all the little things that made Emily so special will remain forever woven into the hearts of those who loved her.

She is preceded in death by her great-great-grandmother, Antonia Zepeda.

Emily is survived by her loving parents, Scott Angel and Catherine Rubalcava; her two brothers, Matthew Cruz Hernandez and Zakary Julian-Jax Rubalcava; her sister, Olivia Jade Rubalcava; her maternal grandparents, Manuel and Janie Gonzales; her paternal grandparents, Pedro and Sylvia Rubalcava; her great-great-grandfather, Pedro Zepeda; and her great-great-grandparents, Amador and Herminia Ramirez, along with many extended family members and loved ones who will forever cherish her memory.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of the Heavens, with a Rosary at 6:00 PM.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 11, 2026, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM at Highland Memorial Park.

Emily may have only been given eleven precious years on this earth, but within those years she gave a lifetime of love. Her family will miss the sound of her laughter, the warmth of her hugs, the excitement in her voice, and most of all, the beautiful smile that could brighten even the darkest day.

Run fast, sweet Emily.
May you run freely among the heavens, surrounded by God's everlasting love, until the day your family can hold you again.

Emily will forever be loved, forever be missed, and forever remain the beautiful little girl who brought so much light into the lives of everyone blessed to know her.
