Elvira E. Gonzalez

Weslaco - Elvira Gonzalez, age 86, passed away on January 9, 2026 at her residence.

Elvira was born in Boerne, TX to Gregorio Enriquez and Martina Lopez.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Oscar Gonzalez; two sons, Mario Mata and Elifonso Mata.

Elvira is survived by two sons, Martin Mata (Alejandra), Miguel Mata & one daughter, Melva Arias (Rafael Acuña). Also surviving are eleven grandchildren & six great-grandchildren.

As per her wishes, Mrs. Gonzalez will be cremated at a later date.

Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco.
