With profound sadness and loving remembrance, the family of Elvia Solano announces her peaceful passing on Friday, August 14, 2026, in Elsa, Texas, at the age of 90.
Elvia was born on April 23, 1936, in Elsa, Texas, to Alfonso Alaniz and Nasaria Shasco. Throughout her 90 years of life, Elvia was blessed with a family who loved and cherished her deeply. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and beloved sister whose presence brought warmth and comfort to those around her.
Her life was one filled with love for her family. The memories she created, the lessons she shared, and the love she gave so freely will remain forever in the hearts of her children and grandchildren. Although her family mourns her passing, they find comfort in knowing that her beautiful legacy will continue through the generations she leaves behind.
Elvia was preceded in death by her parents, Alfonso Alaniz and Nasaria Shasco; her beloved husband, Jaime Solano, Sr.; four brothers, Felix Alaniz, Edelmiro Alaniz, Refugio Alaniz, and Humberto Alaniz; and two sisters, Julia Gutierrez and Socorro Martinez.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving sons, John Solano and his wife, Nelly, and Jaime Solano, Jr. She is also survived by her five cherished grandchildren, Abigail Solano, Emilio Solano, Alby Solano, Alyssa Solano, and Daniel Solano, each of whom will carry a special part of their grandmother with them throughout their lives.
Elvia's passing leaves an emptiness that cannot be filled, but the love she shared during her 90 years will never be forgotten. Her family will forever treasure the precious moments spent together, her smile, her strength, and the many memories that made her such an important part of their lives. May those memories bring peace and comfort as they celebrate a life that touched so many hearts.
Visitation for Elvia Solano will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a Rosary at 7:00 PM, at Salinas Funeral Home of Elsa - Chapel of The Angels.
As per her wishes, Elvia will be cremated at a later date.
May she rest peacefully in eternal love, reunited with her beloved husband and all those who went before her. Her memory will live forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
