Elva H. Casarez

Weslaco, Texas - Elva H. Casarez, 83, passed away to be with the Lord on January 13, 2025, at her residence.

Mrs. Casarez was born on January 18, 1941, in Coahuila Mexico to Mr. Pedro Herrera & Mrs. Alejandra Cisneros.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carlos Ruben Casarez, Sr.; one brother, Jesus Herrera; four sisters, Adela Cantu, Esolda Goossen, Frances Valdivia & Nancy Zamora.

Elva H. Casarez is survived by four sons, David Casarez (Ida), Carlos Ruben Casarez, Jr. (Cecilia), Peter Casarez (Rosalba), Modesto Casarez (Victoria); two brothers, Johnny Hererra, Ramiro Herrera; two sisters, Ernestina Garza & Rosalinda Martin. Also surviving are 23 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren & 2 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation for Elva H. Casarez is scheduled for Thursday, January 16, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM at Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of Grace. An 11:00 AM Graveside Service is scheduled for Friday, January 17, 2025 at the Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission, TX.
