Elsa Gonzales

Elsa Dila Gonzales, born on August 26, 1957, in San Juan, Texas, passed away peacefully at her residence on October 29, 2025. She was a beloved sister and friend, remembered for her vibrant spirit and deep love for life.

Elsa was the daughter of Enrique M. Gonzales and Bertha De la Garza, both of whom have predeceased her, along with her brother Carlos Gonzales. She is survived by her brothers Enrique Gonzales and George Gonzales, as well as her sisters Victoria Gonzales, Bertha Ramirez, Nora Gonzales, and Nelda Gonzales. The bond she shared with her siblings was a cornerstone of her life, and she cherished every moment spent together.

Throughout her life, Elsa had a passion for music and enjoyed dancing, often bringing joy to gatherings with her lively presence. She had a particular fondness for dining at her favorite restaurant, Luby's, where she delighted in the culinary offerings. Her home was a gathering space filled with laughter and warmth, and she loved spending quality time with her family.

Elsa's viewing will take place on Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, followed by a Rosary service at 7:00 PM, both to be held at Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of the Heavens, located at 2929 W. Expressway 83, Weslaco, TX 78599. A Chapel service will be held on Friday,October 31, 2025, starting at 9:00 AM at Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco-Chapel of Heavens followed by interment at Gonzales Cemetery in Donna.

Elsa Dila Gonzales leaves behind memories that will forever be cherished by her family and friends, who will remember her warmth, vivacity, and the love she shared with those around her. Her legacy will undoubtedly continue through the lives she touched.
