Weslaco- Eloy Marroquin, born on July 22, 1962, in Weslaco, Texas, departed this world on February 20, 2026. Throughout his life, Eloy embodied kindness, warmth, and humor, leaving an indelible mark in the hearts of all who knew him. As a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished grandfather, he always placed his family at the forefront of his heart and actions.
Eloy dedicated himself to his role as General Manager for Homesteaders Life Insurance Company, where his meticulous nature and attention to detail shone brightly. His ability to serve others harmoniously paired with his great sense of humor made every interaction a cherished experience.
Family gatherings were among Eloy's greatest joys. He loved to host, ensuring every meal began with a heartfelt prayer, reflecting his deep faith and gratitude. The rhythm of music filled his home as he brought people together, fostering laughter and connection. His unwavering commitment to ensuring that his family was cared for and secure painted the picture of a man whose love knew no bounds.
Eloy is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy Chapa Gonzalez, who stood proudly by his side through thick and thin. He leaves behind his cherished children: Aaron Eloy Marroquin (Leyla Cortez), Abigail Marroquin (Steven L. Parker), and Alexandra Marroquin. Each of them carries a piece of his spirit with them, a testament to the values and love he instilled. His legacy continues through his granddaughter, Penelope Rose Parker, who will forever remember her grandfather's laughter and warmth.
Eloy is also survived by the mother of his children, Amalia Salinas Marroquin, and siblings Alberto Marroquin (Thelma), Estela Jefferson (Courtney), Elma Williams (Kenneth), and Elva Rey (Reynaldo). Many nieces and nephews also count themselves lucky to have been touched by his kindness and humor, ensuring that his love spreads wide and far across generations.
Eloy was preceded in death by his father, Antonio Marroquin, and mother, Jovita M. Marroquin. Their guiding influence undoubtedly shaped the remarkable man he became.

Viewing services for Eloy will take place at Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of the Heavens on February 26, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM, followed by a Rosary at 7:00 PM. A Mass will be celebrated on February 27, 2026, at St. Pius X Catholic Church at 3:30 PM, leading to his interment at Highland Memorial Park, Weslaco, TX, at 4:30 PM.
