Eloy Marroquin

July 22, 1962 — February 20, 2026

Weslaco - Eloy Marroquin, born July 22, 1962, in Weslaco, Texas, entered eternal rest on February 20, 2026. Throughout his life, Eloy embodied kindness, warmth, deep faith, and humor, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the blessing of knowing him. A devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and cherished brother and friend, he placed family at the center of his heart and every decision he made.

Eloy is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy Chapa González Marroquin, who stood faithfully by his side through life's joys and challenges. He leaves behind his cherished children: Aaron Eloy Marroquin (Leyla Cortez), Abigail Marroquin (Stephen Parker), and Alexandra Marroquin. His legacy continues through his adored granddaughters, Peyton Avery Parker and Penelope Rose Parker, who will forever carry memories of their grandfather's love, laughter, and gentle embrace.

He is also survived by the mother of his children, Amalia Salinas Marroquin; his siblings, Alberto Marroquin (Thelma), Estela Jefferson (Courtney), Elma Williams (Kenneth), and Elva Rey (Reynaldo); as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who were blessed by his guidance, generosity, and kindness.

Eloy was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio Marroquin and Jovita M. Marroquin, whose love and example helped shape the man he became.

Family gatherings were among Eloy's greatest joys. He loved hosting, always beginning meals with a heartfelt prayer that reflected his deep faith and gratitude. Music often filled his home, creating an atmosphere of warmth, laughter, and connection. He worked tirelessly to provide for those he loved, a reflection of his steadfast devotion.

His compassion extended far beyond his home. Known for his tender heart toward animals, Eloy regularly fed homeless dogs in his community even cooking meals to ensure they were nourished and cared for. His kindness toward both people and animals reflected a spirit of unconditional love.

He also found deep peace in nature, especially near the water. The beach, lakes, and boating were among his greatest joys. Living on a lake with his wife, he treasured the quiet moments they shared together a place he often called his "happy place."

Eloy dedicated his professional life to serving others in the funeral profession. He began his career with Service Corporation International (SCI), where his integrity, leadership, and compassion quickly distinguished him. Through hard work and commitment, he advanced from salesman to manager, general manager, and executive director.

Guided by vision and purpose, Eloy later worked alongside his beloved wife, Nancy Chapa González, building a strong statewide business as a General Managing Agent with Homesteaders Life Insurance Company, securing exclusive territorial rights for the State of Texas. Through this role, he helped countless individuals achieve success within the funeral industry while assisting families across Texas in preparing for the inevitable with dignity, compassion, and peace of mind. Their mission was especially focused on expanding access to preneed funeral planning within the Hispanic community, ensuring families could face the future with security and confidence.

Eloy's legacy lives on not only in the business he helped build, but in the many lives he touched through mentorship, service, and unwavering dedication to his community.

As family and friends gather to celebrate his life, they hold close the countless memories he created and the love he so freely gave. Though he will be deeply missed, his spirit lives on in the family he cherished and the lives he touched.
