Elisa C. Flores

Weslaco- Elisa C. Flores, of Weslaco, Texas, passed away on September 13, 2026, at the age of 87. She was born on June 14, 1939, in McAllen, Texas.

Elisa will be remembered as a kind and loving woman whose life was deeply rooted in faith. She was religious in her faith and carried a profound love for Jesus Christ that shaped the way she lived and cared for others. Her generosity touched many, and those who knew her understood both her warmth and her strength. She was kind, but also strict, and if something was wrong, she would bring it to your attention with honesty and conviction. Above all, she was a loving mother and grandmother whose presence brought guidance, comfort, and steadfast love to her family.

She leaves behind a family who will carry her memory forward with love: her son, Jesus Jorge (Johanna) Flores, Albino Flores; her daughters, Irene (Martin Galvan) Flores, and Maria (Jose) Baron; and her cherished grandchildren, Jorge Flores, Daniel Flores, Nathalia Flores, Alyssa Saenz, Elisa Galvan, Ivy Galvan, Esperanza Baron, Jose Baron, Joaquin Baron, Lorenzo Baron, Zena Flores, AJ Flores, Val Flores, and Albino Flores Jr. Each of them was part of the circle of love Elisa nurtured through her faith, generosity, and devotion to family.

Elisa was preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Jorge Flores Sr and by her parents, Catarino Caberra and Maria Moreno Caberra. Their memories remained part of her life and story, and now she is reunited with them in eternal peace.

Family and friends are invited to honor Elisa's life during a public viewing on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of Grace, 2929 W. Expressway 83, Weslaco, TX 78599. A rosary will be prayed that same evening from 7:00 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. at the funeral home. A Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Weslaco. Interment will follow on Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. at Val Verde Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Elisa C. Flores leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, generosity, and strength. She will be deeply missed and tenderly remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
