Eliazar Arnoldo Campos

Apr 11, 1943 — Oct 17, 2026

With hearts filled with sorrow, yet comforted by the promise of eternal life, we announce the passing of Eliazar Arnoldo Campos, who departed this earthly life to be with our Heavenly Father on Saturday, October 17, 2026, in Rosenberg, Texas, at the age of 83.

Eliazar was born on April 11, 1943, in Mercedes, Texas, to Miguel M. Campos and Belia Treviño. Throughout his life, he was a man whose presence brought love, strength, and cherished memories to those blessed to know him. His journey on earth was one filled with meaningful moments, family bonds, and a legacy that will continue to live on in the hearts of his loved ones.

Eliazar was a proud United States Navy Veteran who answered the call to serve his country with honor, courage, and dedication. His military service was a testament to his patriotism, strength of character, and commitment to something greater than himself. He carried the honor of being a Navy veteran throughout his life, leaving behind a legacy of service and sacrifice that his family will forever cherish. His devotion to his country will always be remembered with deep gratitude and respect.

Although his earthly journey has come to an end, the love he shared and the memories he leaves behind will forever remain a source of comfort and strength. His passing leaves an emptiness that words cannot express, but his family finds peace in knowing that he has been welcomed into the loving arms of our Lord, where there is no more pain or sorrow, only everlasting peace.

Eliazar was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Miguel M. Campos and Belia Treviño; his three brothers, Gilbert I. Campos, Eloy M. Campos, and Daniel Campos; and his cherished grandson, Charlie Heiting. His family takes comfort in the beautiful thought of a heavenly reunion, where those who have gone before him now welcome him into God's eternal kingdom.

Left to treasure his memory and carry his legacy forward is his beloved wife, Alejandra Campos, who shared in the many chapters of his life's journey; his loving daughter, Belia Cottrell (Alan); his brother, Noel A. Campos; and his three sisters, Minerva Hernandez, Belia I. Campos, and Martha Campos. Each will forever hold close the precious memories, love, and moments they were blessed to share with him.

As his family and friends gather to celebrate his life, may they find comfort in the words of our Lord: "I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live." - John 11:25

Visitation for Eliazar will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of the Heavens, with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 26, 2026, at 12:00 PM at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Following the Mass, Eliazar will be laid to rest at the Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission, Texas, at 2:00 PM.

As we bid farewell to a beloved husband, father, brother, and proud Navy veteran, we honor not only the years he lived but also the love he gave, the memories he created, and the service he rendered to our great nation. Though his earthly watch has ended, his legacy will continue to shine in the hearts of those who loved him.

May the Lord grant him eternal rest, and may perpetual light shine upon him. May his family find peace in knowing that his journey has not ended, but has simply led him home to the loving embrace of our Heavenly Father.

Fair winds and following seas, Sailor. Your watch has ended. Rest in eternal peace, Eliazar.
