With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved Delia G. Ramirez, 73, who peacefully entered the loving arms of her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, in Harlingen, Texas. Although her earthly journey has come to an end, the love she shared, the memories she created, and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and cherished her.
Delia was born on April 15, 1953, in Mathis, Texas, to Simon Gonzales and Julia Corona. Throughout her life, she was surrounded by the love of family, and it was through the special bonds she shared with her loved ones that she created a lifetime of treasured memories.
At the heart of Delia's life was her family. She shared 53 beautiful years of marriage with her devoted husband, Lauro Ramirez. Together, they built a life filled with love, commitment, cherished memories, and the blessings of children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Their enduring marriage was a beautiful testament to the strength of love, faithfulness, and the promises made to one another.
Delia's greatest treasures were the people she held closest to her heart. As a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, she leaves behind a legacy that will continue through the generations of her family. Her presence brought warmth to family gatherings, and the memories of her smile, her embrace, and the precious moments shared together will forever be held dear.
Delia was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Simon Gonzales and Julia Corona; and her four brothers, Pablo Gonzales, Carlos Gonzales, Baldemar Gonzales, and Candelario Gonzales. We find comfort in believing that she has now been reunited with those who entered eternal rest before her.
Left to cherish her beautiful memory is her loving husband of 53 years, Lauro Ramirez; her son, Lauro Ramirez, Jr.; and her two daughters, Soila Prado (Santiago) and Andrea Ramirez. She is also survived by her two brothers, Johnny Gonzales and Alberto Gonzales; and her four sisters, Pola Gutierrez, Lucinda Perez, Margarita Gonzales, and Leonor Gonzales.
Her legacy of love continues through her cherished grandchildren, Julia (Jose), Rikki (Leonardo), Santiago, Jr., Samuel, Seth, Ashley, Amber, Lauro III, and Jenna; as well as her great-grandchildren, Madelyn, Gerardo, Anahi, and Camila. Each of them carries a special part of Delia's love and memory that will continue to live on for generations to come.
While words cannot fully express the sorrow of losing someone so deeply loved, there is comfort in knowing that Delia's life was a blessing and that her memory will remain a precious gift. The love of a mother never truly fades, the embrace of a grandmother is never forgotten, and the legacy of a devoted wife lives forever in the family she helped build.
Though we must now say our earthly goodbyes, we take comfort in the promise of eternal life and the hope that one day we shall meet again. Until that glorious reunion, Delia will remain forever loved, deeply missed, and lovingly remembered.
