With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Delfina G. Zamora, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who left this world peacefully on December 12, 2025, at the age of 72. She was born on August 4, 1953, in Donna, Texas to Eusebio Garcia & Lilia Lopez.
Delfina, or Fina as most knew her, was a loving and strong woman. She was a three-time cancer survivor, enduring immense hardship throughout her life. Despite all she faced, Fina remained filled with strength and unwavering faith in God.
Fina was creative in many ways. Whether through her love for gardening, sewing, or baking, she always kept herself busy. Every Sunday, she attended church services bright and early, eager to hear the Praise and Worship team play God's music just a little longer. She also loved dining out with family and friends-especially at Great China for their green beans, Mr. Gatti's for their salad, and, of course, Whataburger with a hot cup of coffee.
Fina was also deeply sentimental. She kept everything-every small handmade craft, letter, and cherished item. She loved taking photographs and creating scrapbooks. Each of her daughters, grandchildren, and even her husband had a photo album dedicated to them.
During Fina's final days, she fought her battle with cancer with remarkable courage. She was surrounded by loved ones, sharing precious memories and heartfelt conversations.
Delfina is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Adolfo Garcia, Arturo Garcia, Eusebio Garcia, Jr. & one sister, Guadalupe Esqueda.
She is survived by her husband, Carlos Moreno Zamora; three daughters, Johanne Zamora ( Robert Arevalo, Jr.), Patricia Zamora (Noel Perez), Norma Alicia Zamora (Ismael Ortiz); one brother, Ruben Garcia; five sisters, Maria Elena Garza, Elizabeth Ybarra, Ester Medina, Neomi Castillo & Ruth Garcia. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Ciara Celeste Salazar, Lauren Danielle Scott, Larissa Lilian Scott, Andreah Izabella Arevalo & Everly Ariana Ortiz. Their lives have been forever enriched by her unconditional love and support.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Delfina's remarkable life and legacy. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 17, 2025 from 12:00 pm to 9:00 PM at Family Life Ministries of Weslaco with a 7:00 PM Prayer Service.
A 1:00 PM Funeral Service to honor Delfina's life will be held at Family Life Ministries of Weslaco on Thursday, December 18, 2025. Following the service, she will be interred at Val Verde Memorial Gardens Cemetery, as we lay her to rest with love and dignity.
As we gather to celebrate the life of Delfina G. Zamora, let us remember her radiant smile, her generous spirit, and the profound impact she made on our lives. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten, living on in the hearts of those she cherished.
Funeral Services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco.
