Weslaco-It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of David Rodriguez, 66, of Weslaco, who peacefully left this world, leaving behind a lifetime of memories to be treasured by all who knew and loved him.

David was born on September 4, 1960, to Juan M. Rodriguez and Maria Luisa Rios Rodriguez. From the very beginning, David was blessed with a loving family, and throughout his life, family remained an important part of who he was. He will be remembered not only for the life he lived, but for the love, memories, and special moments he shared with those closest to him.

David's presence brought meaning to the lives of his family, and though his journey on earth has come to an end, the memories he created will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him. His smile, his laughter, his stories, and the moments shared together will remain treasured reminders of a life that mattered deeply.

David leaves behind a loving family who will continue to honor his memory and carry his love with them. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Gina Lee Madrigal, who will forever cherish the memories and bond they shared. He also leaves behind his brothers, Adan Rodriguez and Raul Rodriguez, who will hold close the memories of their brother and the years they shared as a family.

His memory will continue through his cherished grandchildren, Kimberly Ann Pina Brugman and Kataryna Linn Pina, and his precious great-granddaughter, Lucia Josephine Brugman. Though Lucia may have only shared a small portion of life's journey with her great-grandfather, the love and legacy he leaves behind will become part of her family's story for generations to come.

David was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Juan M. Rodriguez and Maria Luisa Rios Rodriguez, and his brothers, Juan Jose Rodriguez and Carlos Rodriguez. Though they have gone before him, David now joins those he loved and lost, reunited in eternal peace.

As his family mourns his passing, they can also find comfort in knowing that David's life will continue through the memories he left behind and the love he gave so freely. A person's life is measured not only by the years they spend on this earth, but by the hearts they touch, the lives they influence, and the memories that remain long after they are gone.

David will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of his daughter, grandchildren, great-granddaughter, brothers, extended family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

May he rest peacefully, surrounded by the love of those who went before him, and may his memory remain a blessing to all who knew and loved him.

The family of David Rodriguez invites family and friends to join them in honoring and celebrating his life on Monday, September 28, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Salinas Funeral Home of Elsa Chapel of the Heavens.

A Celebration of Life will take place at 7:00 PM, providing an opportunity for family and friends to come together, share cherished memories, offer comfort and support, and celebrate the life of a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend.
