David Medina Ortega

It is with deep sorrow and profound sadness that we announce the passing of David Medina Ortega, who departed this life peacefully on November 17, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on December 29, 1940, in Comales Tamaulipas Mexico, David lived a life full of dedication, craftsmanship, and familial love.

Known for his unwavering work ethic and kind spirit, he touched the lives of many and will be remembered for his gentle nature and warm smile.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Bruno Ortega & Esperanza Medina Ortega; his wife, Cipriana Ortega Ramirez.

David is survived by five sons, David Ortega (Maribel), Bruno Alejandro Ortega, Pablo Ortega (Marisol), Jesus Ortega, Jorge Alberto Ortega & one daughter, Claudia Esperanza Ortega. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren & four great-grandchildren. The loss of David is felt deeply by all who knew him, as he leaves behind an indelible mark on those whose lives he enriched.

Family and friends are invited to gather to honor David's memory and celebrate his life. A viewing will take place at Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of Grace from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Saturday, November 22, 2025 with a 6:00 PM Prayer Service.

Mr. Ortega will be cremated at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna, TX
