Daniel Valdez Sr.

Brownsville - Daniel Valdez Sr., 87, passed away Friday, August 30, 2024 at his residence.

Mr. Valdez was born July 16, 1937, in Santander Jimenez, Tamaulipas. Son of Antonio Valdez Banda and Carlota Ramirez. He is preceded in death by a daughter Olivia Martinez, son-in-law Arturo Martinez, his parents and his brother Silvano Valdez.

Left to cherish his memories are his children: Daniel Valdez Jr., Valentina de Luna (Jesus), Santiago Valdez, Roy Valdez (Mary); a brother: Cruz Valdez and sisters Margie Valdez, Antonia Valdez and Juana Valdez. Also surviving him are numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Angels in Brownsville. A funeral chapel service is scheduled for Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at 10:00 am with interment to follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Brownsville.
