Daniel's journey began as the son of Francisca Tristan and Pedro Campos, who preceded him in death. He was shaped by their loving guidance and the bonds shared with his siblings. In life, he was the devoted sibling of Javier, Pete, Eleazar, Adolfo, Alicia Mena, Betty Castillo, and Noemi Hernandez, and the treasured brother of the late Rey Campos, whose memory held a special place in Daniel's heart.

He found his lifelong companion in Rebecca Campos, his beloved wife, with whom he built a legacy of love and support. Together, they raised a family marked by unity and dedication. Daniel was a proud and caring father to Joe Daniel Campos (Laura), David Ray Campos (Angela), Roy Adrian Campos (Jayjay), and Barbara D. Zuniga (Jose Angel). His children remember him as a steadfast figure whose wisdom and gentle humor enriched their lives and guided their paths.

Daniel's life will be honored at a public viewing on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of Grace, located at 2929 W. Expressway 83, Weslaco, TX 78599 with a Mass at 7:00 p.m.
