Dalia Alvarado

Elsa - Dalia "La Baby Doll" Alvarado, 78, passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at her residence in Elsa.

Ms. Alvarado was born June 10, 1943 in Edcouch, Texas, daughter of Manuel Villarreal and Alicia Benavidez Villarreal. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Senon Benavidez.

Left to cherish her memories are her children, Cynthia Granados, Norma Cantu, Rosa Granados, Annette Granados, Rene Ramirez, Eddie Cantu; brother Gonzalo Gonzalez (Lupita); sisters. Elda Garza (Fidel), Susana Zuniga, Leslie Villarreal. Also surviving her are 6 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

She worked for the county clerk for 12 years and the Edcouch Elsa ISD for 18 years. Well known and loved in the community she will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022 from 2 pm to 8 pm and Sunday, February 27, 2022 from 1 pm to 8 pm with a rosary at 6 pm both nights at Salinas Funeral Home-Chapel of the Heavens in Elsa. As per her wishes, she will be cremated at a later date.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Elsa.
