Con profundo pesar, pero con gratitud por una vida llena de amor y hermosos recuerdos, anunciamos el fallecimiento de Concepcion Lerma de Tijerina, quien partió para estar con el Señor el miércoles, 30 de septiembre de 2026, en Edinburg, Texas, a la edad de 65 años.

Concepcion nació el 15 de agosto de 1961 en Río Bravo, Tamaulipas, México, hija de José Lerma y Angelita Gonzalez. A lo largo de su vida, Concepcion fue una mujer de gran corazón, cuyo amor por su familia se reflejaba en cada gesto, cada palabra y cada momento compartido con quienes más amaba.

Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, José Lerma y Angelita Gonzalez; su amado esposo, Rolando Tijerina; y su hermano, Trinidad Lerma. Hoy se reúne nuevamente con ellos en la presencia del Señor, dejando en esta vida un legado de amor que permanecerá por siempre en los corazones de su familia.

Concepcion deja para honrar y atesorar su memoria a su querida hija, Aide Cifuentes (Jose Antonio); y a sus tres amados nietos, Jesus Cifuentes, Roel Cifuentes y Jose Antonio Cifuentes, quienes fueron una fuente inmensa de alegría, orgullo y amor en su vida.

También sobreviven sus cuatro hermanos, Guadalupe Lerma, Jose Angel Lerma, Jose Luis Lerma y Leonel Lerma; y sus cinco hermanas, Maria Eustolia Lerma, Josefina Lerma, Maria Gonzalez, Angelita Alvarado y Nora Elia Lerma; así como numerosos familiares y seres queridos que tuvieron la dicha de compartir su vida.

Concepcion será recordada con profundo cariño por el amor que brindó a su familia y por los innumerables recuerdos que deja atrás. Aunque su partida deja un vacío imposible de llenar, su familia encontrará consuelo en saber que su amor continuará viviendo a través de cada recuerdo, cada enseñanza y cada momento compartido.

Su vida fue un regalo para quienes la conocieron, y su memoria permanecerá por siempre en los corazones de aquellos que la amaron. Que descanse eternamente en los brazos del Señor y que la luz perpetua brille para ella.

La velación de Concepcion está programada para el sábado, 3 de octubre de 2026, de 5:00 p.m. a 9:00 p.m. en la funeraria Salinas de Weslaco - Capilla de Fe con el un Santo Rosario a las 7:00 p.m.

Posteriormente, Concepcion será trasladada a Río Bravo, Tamaulipas, México, donde será llevada a su última morada en el Panteón Ejido Seis de Enero, Municipio de Río Bravo, Tamaulipas, México.

Los arreglos funerarios están bajo la dirección de La Funeraria Salinas de Weslaco.


With profound sadness, yet with gratitude for a life filled with love and beautiful memories, we announce the passing of Concepcion Lerma de Tijerina, who went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, in Edinburg, Texas, at the age of 65.

Concepcion was born on August 15, 1961, in Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas, Mexico, to Jose Lerma and Angelita Gonzalez. Throughout her life, Concepcion was a woman with a loving and generous heart. Her devotion to her family was reflected in every gesture, every word, and every precious moment she shared with those she loved most.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose Lerma and Angelita Gonzalez; her beloved husband, Rolando Tijerina; and one brother, Trinidad Lerma. She is now reunited with them in the presence of the Lord, leaving behind a legacy of love that will forever remain in the hearts of her family.

Concepcion leaves behind to cherish and honor her memory her beloved daughter, Aide Cifuentes (Jose Antonio); and her three loving grandsons, Jesus Cifuentes, Roel Cifuentes, and Jose Antonio Cifuentes, who were a tremendous source of joy, pride, and love throughout her life.

She is also survived by her four brothers, Guadalupe Lerma, Jose Angel Lerma, Jose Luis Lerma, and Leonel Lerma; and her five sisters, Maria Eustolia Lerma, Josefina Lerma, Maria Gonzalez, Angelita Alvarado, and Nora Elia Lerma; as well as numerous extended family members and loved ones who were blessed to share in her life.

Concepcion will be lovingly remembered for the love she gave to her family and for the countless memories she leaves behind. Although her passing leaves a void that can never be filled, her family finds comfort in knowing that her love will continue to live on through every memory, every lesson, and every moment they shared together.

Her life was a gift to all who knew her, and her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her. May she rest eternally in the loving arms of the Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon her.

Visitation for Concepcion is scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of Faith, with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.

Following services, Concepcion will be transferred to Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas, Mexico, where she will be laid to rest at Panteon Ejido Seis de Enero, Municipality of Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas, Mexico.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco.
