Claricia Escandon Zamora

Mercedes - Claricia Escandon Zamora, 83, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Mid Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Mercedes.

Mrs. Zamora was born February 2, 1939 in Mercedes, Texas, daughter of Andrea Hernandez. She is preceded in death by her husband, Benito Zamora; her mother and a daughter, Alma Zamora.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Juan Benito Zamora, Heriberto Zamora, Juan Zamora, Bernie Zamora; daughters, Sara Zamora, Mary Jane Zamora, Andrea Zamora, and Elsie Zamora. Also surviving her are 20 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a rosary at 6:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home-Chapel of the Heavens in Elsa. As per her wishes, she will be cremated at a later date.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Hone in Elsa.
