Celia lived a life deeply rooted in her faith as a devoted Jehovah's Witness, dedicating herself to the teachings of the Bible, which she approached with a heartfelt commitment. Her calm spirit served as a sanctuary for her family-a constant reminder of strength and nurturing love. Celia was particularly attentive to the needs of her children, always ensuring their well-being and happiness, embodying the essence of a loving mother who placed her family at the center of her world.

She was a beloved figure not only to her children but also to her daughters-in-law, whom she embraced as her own, earning the reputation of being the best mother-in-law one could ever hope for. Celia's immense love extended to her grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart, representing the joys of her life and the continuation of her legacy.

Her husband of 70 years, Lorenzo Garza Martinez, stood beside her as a steadfast partner throughout their journey together, sharing in the many blessings of their family. Together, they raised five sons: Juan Humberto (Rosaura) Garza, Erasmo (Teresa) Garza Garcia, Carlos (Emilia) Garza Garcia, Martin (Alma Rosa) Garza Garcia, and Lorenzo (Rosie) Garza Garcia, alongside their cherished daughter Graciela Garza (Hermenegildo) de Palacios. Celia also treasured her sister, Josefina Garcia Castillo, creating an indelible bond of sisterhood that was a source of joy and support throughout their lives.

Celia will be remembered not only for her remarkable personal attributes but also for the profound impact she made on those around her. She is preceded in death by both parents, Crispin Garcia and Rufina Castillo, her daughter Diana Elizabeth Garza (Antonio) de Davila, and her siblings, Antonio Garcia Castillo and Maria Garcia Castillo, all of whom she loved dearly and whose memories she held close to her heart.

A viewing will be held in her honor at Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of the Heavens, located at 2929 W. Expressway 83, Weslaco, TX 78599 on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A Talk Service will take place at the same location from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, allowing family and friends to celebrate her remarkable life and legacy. As per her wishes, Mrs. Celia will be cremated at a later date.

El Servicio de Palabras se realizará en el mismo lugar de 7:00 p. m. a 8:00 p. m., permitiendo a familiares y amigos celebrar su extraordinaria vida y legado. Conforme a sus deseos, la Sra. Celia será cremada en fecha posterior.
