With profound sadness, the family of Caleb Medrano announces his passing on September 8, 2026, in Donna, Texas, at the young age of 28.

Caleb was born in Weslaco, Texas, to Hilario Medrano and Graciela De Leon. He grew into a strong, dedicated, and loving man whose life was defined by his devotion to his family, his service to his country, and the genuine kindness he shared with those around him.

Caleb proudly answered the call to serve his country. He served four years in the United States Marine Corps as a Rifleman with the 1ST Battalion, 1ST Marine and dedicated six years of service to the Texas National Guard as an Infantry man. His military service was an important part of the man he became, reflecting the discipline, strength, courage, and commitment he carried throughout his life. His family will forever be proud of his service and the sacrifices he made for his country and community.

Outside of his military service, Caleb had a passion for fitness. He loved going to the gym and bodybuilding, always challenging himself to become stronger and better. Those who knew Caleb, however, knew that behind his physical strength was an even bigger heart. He was loved by everyone he met, and his warm personality, friendship, and presence left a lasting impression on countless lives.

Above everything else, Caleb's greatest joy was being a father. His beloved son, Moises Isidoro Medrano, was everything to him. Nothing brought Caleb greater happiness than spending time with Moises, making memories together, and watching his son grow. The love he had for his son was immeasurable, and that special bond will remain an everlasting part of Caleb's legacy.

Caleb was a devoted husband, a loving father and son, a caring brother and uncle, a proud serviceman, and a loyal friend. Though his life ended far too soon, the love he gave and the memories he created will continue to live in the hearts of everyone blessed to have known him.

Caleb is preceded in death by his father, Hilario Medrano; his paternal grandparents, Tiburcio and Eulalia Medrano; his maternal grandparents, Santana and Margarita De Leon; and his aunt, Rosalba Delgado.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Linda Medrano; his beloved son, Moises Isidoro Medrano; his mother, Graciela Medrano; his brother, Josue Medrano (Marlene Campos); his nephew, Jayden Medrano; and his nieces, Madison Medrano and Marlette Medrano, along with extended family members, fellow servicemen and women, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by Caleb.

While his family and friends mourn a life taken much too soon, they will forever remember Caleb for his strength, his dedication, his laughter, his love for his family, and especially the tremendous love he had for his son. His years may have been few, but the impact of his life was great. His memory will continue through the people he loved the country he proudly served, and the son who meant more to him than anything in this world.
