Bertha was the daughter of Rafael Reyna and Maria Consuelo Trevino, both of whom preceded her in passing. From her earliest years, Bertha radiated warmth and kindness, building a legacy rooted deeply in her caring nature and steadfast compassion.

Her journey led her to Weslaco, Texas, where she became the heart and soul of her family. Bertha was a beloved wife to Jorge Rios, whose partnership with her was built on mutual respect and profound affection. Together, they formed a close-knit family, the foundation upon which so many joyful memories were built.

Bertha's love lives on through her children: her devoted son Jorge Rios Jr, and his wife Benita; her loving daughter Nereida Sepulveda, and her husband Agustin; her brother Ralph Reyna and his wife Sallie; her daughter Angela Reyna; and her son Oscar Reyna. Bertha was a pillar of wisdom, a gentle confidante, and a source of strength for her children and extended family.

Her grandchildren; Jocelyn, Jaleyza, Jaziel, and Jahel knew Bertha as their guiding light, whose hugs and laughter brought comfort that will echo throughout their lives. She also lovingly remembers her grandchild Jorge Rios, who preceded her in death and in whose memory she held a quiet, cherished place in her heart.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Bertha Alicia Rios's remarkable life during a series of gatherings meant to honor her legacy. A public viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a rosary service at 7:00 PM, both at Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of Grace, located at 2929 W. Expressway 83, Weslaco, TX 78599. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 1:00 PM, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Weslaco, with interment to follow at 2:00 PM in Val Verde Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
