Con profundo pesar y con amor agradecido, la familia de Bernardino Homero Uvalle comparte su fallecimiento ocurrido el 30 de agosto de 2026 en Weslaco, Texas. Nació el 22 de septiembre de 1941 en México, y su vida queda abrazada en el recuerdo de quienes lo conocieron, lo amaron y caminaron a su lado.

Bernardino será recordado como un hombre cuya presencia dejó una huella perdurable en su familia. Su memoria vivirá en el corazón de su esposa, Maria De Jesus Uvalle, y en el cariño de sus hijos: Veronica Uvalle (Eddy Ortiz), Miguel Angel Uvalle (Rosa Imelda), Homero Uvalle y Miriam Soraida Bonilla (Fernando). También le sobreviven sus hermanos Juan Reyes, Federico Reyes, Carlos Reyes, Ernesto Reyes, Armando Reyes y Rogelio Reyes, así como sus hermanas Rosa Fuentes y Graciela Primitivo; 15 nietos y 4 tataranietos. En cada uno de ellos permanece el vínculo de amor, historia y familia que Bernardino ayudó a fortalecer a lo largo de los años.

Le precedieron en la muerte su padre, Jesus Uvalle; su madre, Petra Ortiz; y sus hermanos Jose Reyes, Ismael Reyes, Rafael Reyes, Benito Reyes y Felipe Reyes. Su recuerdo se une ahora al de ellos, mientras su familia honra la vida que compartieron y la marca que dejó en cada generación.

La familia recibirá a quienes deseen acompañarlos y rendirle homenaje durante la velación el miércoles, 2 de septiembre de 2026, de 4:00 p.m. a 9:00 p.m., en Funeraria Salinas de Weslaco - Capilla de Fe, ubicada en 2929 W. Expressway 83, Weslaco, TX 78599. Habrá una segunda velación el jueves 3 de septiembre de 2026, de 10:00 a.m. a 1:30 p.m., en el mismo lugar. Posteriormente, el sepelio se llevará a cabo ese mismo día a las 2:00 p.m. en Highland Memorial Park, 6705 N FM 88, Weslaco, TX 78599.

He is also survived by his brothers, Juan Reyes, Federico Reyes, Carlos Reyes, Ernesto Reyes, Armando Reyes, and Rogelio Reyes; his sisters, Rosa Fuentes and Graciela Primitivo; 15 grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Through each of them lives the bond of love, history, and family that Bernardino helped strengthen throughout the years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jesus Uvalle; his mother, Petra Ortiz; and his brothers, Jose Reyes, Ismael Reyes, Rafael Reyes, Benito Reyes, and Felipe Reyes. His memory now joins theirs as his family honors the life they shared and the lasting legacy he leaves with each generation.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance during a visitation on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of The Heavens located at 2929 W. Expressway 83, Weslaco, TX 78599. A second visitation will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the same location. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Highland Memorial Park, 6705 N. FM 88, Weslaco, TX 78599.
