Benita G. Acevedo

Brownsville - Benita G. Acevedo, 84 passed away Friday, September 27, 2024 at Fox Hollow Nursing Home in Brownsville.

Mrs. Acevedo was born March 21, 1940, in Mexico. Daughter of Florentino Torres and Andrea Guzman Torres. She is preceded in death by her husband, Pedro G. Acevedo, her parents and her brother Fidel Torres.

Left to cherish her memories are her children Marvelia T. Acevedo, Veronica Magali Pisharodi (Madhavan), Raquel Davila (Josue), Ana Maria Acevedo (Vicente Perez), Araceli Bermudez (Javier), Melba Acevedo; her sisters Lorenza Torres and Carmen Torres. Also surviving her are her grandchildren Catalina, Anjali, Caleb, Kareena, Clarissa, Coral, Reef and Zoe.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024, from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Angels in Brownsville. A funeral chapel service is scheduled for Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 10:00 am with interment to follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Brownsville.
