Artemio G. Roque

Brownsville - Artemio G. Roque, 87, passed away Friday, March 31, 2023 at Valley Baptist Medical Center.

Mr. Roque was born February 14, 1936 in in Nuevo Leon, Mexico, son of Ursulo Roque and Refugia Grimaldo Roque. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Juanita Gonzalez and a son-in-law, Hector Mascorro

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Elida Saldivar Roque; his children, Artemio Roque Jr. (Maribel), Norma Linda Roque, Rolando Roque, Esmeralda Roque, Ramona Mascorro, Esequiel Roque (Hortencia); his sisters, Julianna Rivera, Alfonsina Valdez, Susanna Moreno and Francisca Partida. Also surviving him are 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 10, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Heavens in Brownsville. Funeral chapel service is scheduled for Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at 2:00 pm with interment to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Brownsville.
