Con profundo pesar, pero con la esperanza y el consuelo que brinda la fe, anunciamos el fallecimiento del Sr. Artemio Gonzalez, quien partió de este mundo el 2 de octubre de 2026, en la tranquilidad de su residencia en Donna, Texas, a la edad de 69 años.
Artemio nació el 23 de enero de 1957 en Weslaco, Texas, hijo de Vicente Gonzalez y Josefa Rodriguez. A lo largo de su vida, Artemio fue un hombre profundamente querido por su familia. Su recuerdo permanecerá vivo en los corazones de quienes tuvieron la dicha de conocerlo, compartir momentos a su lado y recibir su cariño.
Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, Vicente Gonzalez y Josefa Rodriguez, así como sus dos hermanos, Jose Luis Gonzalez y Gilberto Gonzalez.

La Misa de Cuerpo Presente se celebrará el martes 6 de octubre de 2026 a las 2:00 p.m. en la Iglesia Catolica San Jose en Donna, Texas.
De acuerdo con sus deseos, Artemio Gonzalez será cremado posteriormente.

With profound sadness, yet with the hope and comfort that faith provides, we announce the passing of Mr. Artemio Gonzalez, who departed this life on October 2, 2026, peacefully at his residence in Donna, Texas, at the age of 69.
Artemio was born on January 23, 1957, in Weslaco, Texas, to Vicente Gonzalez and Josefa Rodriguez. Throughout his life, Artemio was deeply loved by his family. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him, sharing special moments with him, and experiencing his love and kindness.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Vicente Gonzalez and Josefa Rodriguez, and his two brothers, Jose Luis Gonzalez and Gilberto Gonzalez.
Artemio leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Celia Gonzalez; his son, Eliazar Cantu and his wife, Marisol; his brother, Noe Gonzalez; and his two sisters, Juanita Gonzalez and Elizabeth Vasquez. Also surviving are his five beloved grandchildren, Jose Fuentes Carreon, Brittney Cantu, Jesus Cantu, Berenice Cantu, and Ruby Cantu, who will forever carry with them the memories and love of their cherished grandfather.
Although his absence leaves a profound void in the lives of those who loved him, his family will find comfort in the memories they shared, the lessons he imparted throughout his life, and the love that will remain forever. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will continue to live on through his family and the many moments they shared together.
Visitation for Mr. Artemio Gonzalez is scheduled for Monday, October 5, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of Faith, with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Donna, Texas.
In accordance with his wishes, Artemio Gonzalez will be cremated at a later date.
The Gonzalez family sincerely appreciates all the prayers, expressions of love, and words of comfort extended to them during this difficult time.
Funeral services are under the direction of Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco.
