Armando Sanchez Martinez, nacido el 26 de septiembre de 1955 en Durango, México, falleció pacíficamente en su residencia el 13 de mayo de 2026. Fue un hombre cuyo corazón estuvo definido por un amor y una devoción inquebrantables, especialmente hacia sus nietos, quienes significaban más para él que cualquier otra cosa en el mundo.

A lo largo de su vida, Armando disfrutó profundamente los momentos al aire libre junto a sus apreciadas gallinas, cuidándolas con cariño y orgullo. Dotado de gran habilidad como "manitas", encontraba alegría en reparar y arreglar todo aquello que necesitaba compostura, demostrando no solo su talento, sino también su espíritu trabajador y perseverante. Muchas tardes las pasaba disfrutando de películas, un gusto sencillo que reflejaba su naturaleza cálida y reflexiva.

El camino de Armando en esta vida estuvo marcado por los lazos familiares, profundamente arraigados en el amor y la lealtad. Compartió veinticuatro años de matrimonio con su amada esposa, Concepcion Tafolla, una unión construida sobre el respeto mutuo y el cariño. Juntos formaron una familia grande y amorosa, reflejo de la fortaleza de Armando como esposo y padre.

Le sobreviven sus hijos Manuel (Isela) Sanchez y Armando Sanchez Jr.; sus hijas Yudih Sanchez, Cristina Sanchez, Leticia (Antonio) Sanchez, Norma (Saul) Sanchez, Elizabeth Sanchez, Erika (Ron) Prosper, Josie Sepulveda, Jamey Sepulveda y Jessica Sepulveda. Armando también deja a su hermano Ernesto Sanchez y a sus hermanas Juana Sanchez y Maria "Valentina" Sanchez. Su legado vive a través de numerosos nietos y bisnietos, quienes llevarán por siempre la luz de su amor y guía.

Fue precedido en muerte por sus queridos padres, Fidel Sanchez Garcia y Amada Martinez, cuyos recuerdos sin duda permanecerán vivos en su corazón y en las generaciones que continuaron después de ellos.

La velación se llevará a cabo el domingo 17 de mayo de 2026, de 4:00 p.m. a 9:00 p.m., con un servicio de oración a las 4:30 p.m. en Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Heavens. El servicio funerario se celebrará al día siguiente, 18 de mayo, a las 10:30 a.m., también en Chapel of the Heavens, seguido del sepelio en Mercedes Memorial Restlawn Cemetery a las 11:00 a.m.

Throughout his life, Armando cherished moments spent outdoors among his cherished chickens, tending to them with gentle care and pride. A gifted handyman, he found joy in fixing and mending anything that needed repair, showcasing not only his skill but also his enduring spirit of diligence and perseverance. Evenings often found him absorbed in watching movies, a simple pleasure that reflected his warm and thoughtful nature.

Armando's journey through life was marked by the enduring bonds of family, rooted deeply in love and loyalty. He shared twenty-four years of marriage with his beloved wife, Concepcion Tafolla, a partnership built on mutual respect and affection. Together, they nurtured a large and loving family-a testament to Armando's strength as a husband and father.

He is survived by his sons Manuel (Isela) Sanchez and Armando Sanchez Jr.; daughters Yudih Sanchez, Cristina Sanchez, Leticia (Antonio) Sanchez, Norma (Saul) Sanchez, Elizabeth Sanchez, Erika (Ron) Prosper, Josie Sepulveda, Jamey Sepulveda, and Jessica Sepulveda. Armando also leaves behind his brother Ernesto Sanchez, and sisters Juana Sanchez and Maria "Valentina" Sanchez. His legacy flourishes through numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will forever carry the light of his affection and guidance.

Armando was preceded in death by his devoted parents, Fidel Sanchez Garcia and Amada Martinez, whose memories undoubtedly live on in his heart and through the generations that followed.

A viewing will be held on Sunday,May 17, 2026, from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m., with a prayer service beginning at 4:30 p.m. at the Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of the Heavens, located at 2929 W. Expressway 83, Weslaco, Texas. A funeral service will take place the following day, May 18, at 10:30 a.m., also at the Chapel of the Heavens, followed by interment at Mercedes Memorial Restlawn Cemetery at 11:00 a.m.
