Con profundo amor y gran tristeza, la familia de la Sra. Antonia Mendoza de Tovar anuncia su fallecimiento y partida al encuentro del Señor el 8 de septiembre de 2026, en Edinburg, Texas.

Antonia nació el 13 de junio de 1945 en Guanajuato, México, hija de Seferino Mendoza y Manuela Negrete. A lo largo de su vida fue una mujer cuyo mayor tesoro y alegría siempre fue su familia. Su amor, fortaleza y entrega dejaron una huella imborrable en varias generaciones, y los hermosos recuerdos que compartió con sus seres queridos permanecerán por siempre en sus corazones.

Fue una madre, abuela y bisabuela amorosa y dedicada. Su familia era el centro de su vida, y tuvo la bendición de verla crecer a través de sus hijos, 15 nietos y 17 bisnietos. Su presencia llenaba de alegría y calidez las reuniones familiares, y todo el amor que brindó continuará viviendo a través de cada uno de ellos.

La Sra. Mendoza de Tovar fue precedida en la muerte por su amado esposo, Eusebio Tovar, y por sus padres, Seferino Mendoza y Manuela Negrete. Aunque su familia lamenta profundamente su partida, encuentra consuelo al saber que se ha reunido nuevamente con aquellos seres queridos que partieron antes que ella y que ahora descansa en paz en la presencia del Señor.

Quedan para honrar y atesorar su hermosa memoria su hijo, Edgar Tovar; sus cuatro hijas, Noelia Hernandez (Pedro), Maria Guadalupe Gonzalez (Alberto), Graciela Tovar y Erika Tovar; además de sus 15 nietos y 17 bisnietos, quienes llevarán por siempre su amor y sus enseñanzas en sus corazones.

La velación se llevará a cabo el viernes 11 de septiembre de 2026, de 3:00 PM a 9:00 PM, en la Funeraria Salinas de Weslaco - Capilla de Gracia, con un Santo Rosario a las 6:00 PM.

De acuerdo con sus deseos, la Sra. Antonia Mendoza de Tovar será cremada en una fecha posterior.

Aunque su camino terrenal ha llegado a su fin, el amor que la Sra. Antonia Mendoza de Tovar entregó a su familia jamás desaparecerá. Deja un hermoso legado en varias generaciones que tuvieron la bendición de llamarla Mamá, Abuelita y Bisabuelita. Su recuerdo vivirá eternamente en sus corazones, en las historias que compartirán y en el amor que continuará uniendo a su familia por muchos años.

With great love and heartfelt sorrow, the family of Mrs. Antonia Mendoza de Tovar announces her passing to be with the Lord on September 8, 2026, in Edinburg, Texas.

Antonia was born on June 13, 1945, in Guanajuato, Mexico, to Seferino Mendoza and Manuela Negrete. Throughout her life, she was a woman whose greatest joy was found in her family. Her love, strength, and devotion helped shape generations, and the memories she created with those closest to her will remain a treasured part of her legacy.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family was the center of her world, and she was blessed to see that family grow through her children, 15 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. Her presence brought warmth to family gatherings, and the love she gave so freely will continue to live on through each of them.

Mrs. Mendoza de Tovar is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eusebio Tovar, and her parents, Seferino Mendoza and Manuela Negrete. Although her family mourns her passing, they find comfort in knowing that she has been reunited with those who went before her and is now resting peacefully in the presence of the Lord.

Left to cherish her beautiful memory are her son, Edgar Tovar; four daughters, Noelia Hernandez (Pedro), Maria Guadalupe Gonzalez (Alberto), Graciela Tovar, and Erika Tovar; as well as her 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, who will forever carry her love in their hearts.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of Grace, with a Rosary at 6:00 PM.

In accordance with her wishes, Mrs. Antonia Mendoza de Tovar will be cremated at a later date.

Though her earthly journey has come to an end, the love Mrs. Antonia Mendoza de Tovar gave to her family will never fade. She leaves behind generations who were blessed to call her Mom, Grandma, and Great-Grandma. Her memory will live on in their hearts, in the stories they share, and in the love that will continue to unite her family for years to come.
