Weslaco- Amanda Daisy Garcia, born on April 23, 1990, in Weslaco, Texas, left this world too soon on February 15, 2026, in Houston, Texas. She was a bright light in the lives of all who knew her, epitomizing kindness and warmth. As a dedicated Dental Instructor, Amanda not only imparted her knowledge and skills to her students but also fostered an environment where everyone felt welcome and valued. Her infectious positivity and sense of humor had a remarkable way of putting others at ease, making her both an admired mentor and cherished friend.
Amanda will be lovingly remembered by her family, which includes her beloved children, Broly Alexander Piñon and Jewel Rae Piñon. Every moment spent with them filled her heart with pride and joy, as she was a devoted mother who upheld her children's happiness above all else. She is also survived by her father, Deacon Oscar Garcia, and her mother, Martha Sylvia Garcia, who provided her a foundation of love and support throughout her life. Her siblings, Oscar (Clarissa) Garcia Jr. and Bianca (Juan Ramos) Garcia, shared countless memories with her, including the joy of spontaneous summer vacations in San Antonio, where laughter and adventure were the currency of their time together.
Amanda's friends will hold her close in their hearts, recalling her extensive voice notes filled with laughter and love, which would often bring a smile to their faces during challenging times. Among her dearest friends was Elizabeth Villegas, who shared a bond that transcended mere friendship. Additionally, her niece, Krisalynn Guillen, and her nephew, Fernando Guillen II, along with her other niece, Ariel Ramos, were blessed to have Amanda in their lives, loving her as only an aunt could.
As we reflect on Amanda's life, we remember her as a source of light who touched many lives with her caring heart and loving spirit. Her legacy will live on through the many lives she impacted, reminding us to embrace life with positivity and kindness as she did.
The community is invited to pay their respects and celebrate Amanda's life at the Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of the Heavens. A viewing will be held on February 20, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, followed by a Rosary that will take place at 7:00 PM. A Mass will be held on February 21, 2026, at 10:00 AM at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church, leading into her interment at Highland Memorial Park at 11:00 AM.
Amanda Daisy Garcia's memory will forever be etched in the hearts of her loved ones, and she will be deeply missed.
