Weslaco, Texas - Alvaro Zuñiga Martinez, 61, passed away to be with the Lord on September 8, 2024 at Knapp Medical Center.
Mr. Zuñiga was born on February 19, 1963 in Reynosa Tamaulipas Mexico to Mr. Ramon Zuñiga & Mrs. Abelina Martinez.
He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Ramon Zuñiga, Esteban Zuñiga, Tomas Zuñiga; two sisters, Josefa Zuñiga & Petra Zuñiga.
Alvaro Zuñiga is survived by his wife, Sonia Zuniga; two daughters, Amanda Zuniga, Arianna Zuniga Skalitsky (Michael); one brother, Rafael Zuniga; three sisters, Santos Zuñiga, Lucia Abrego Zuñiga & Ignacia Zuñiga. Also surviving are two grandsons, Alvaro Daniel Montemayor & Noah James Skalitsky.
Visitation for Alvaro Zuñiga is scheduled for Wednesday, September 11, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a 7:00 PM Rosary at Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of The Heavens. A 10:00 AM Funeral Mass is scheduled for Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Weslaco. Cremation will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco.
