Alice Garza

HARLINGEN, TX - It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Alice Samaripa, who left us on August 26, 2025, at the age of 65. She was a beloved mother and grandmother; her presence will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Born on April 1, 1960 in San Angelo, TX, Alice Samaripa was the child of Tommy and Lilly Samaripa. Throughout her life, Alice was known for her unwavering love for her family and compassionate heart. No matter the challenges she faced, she always gave what she had and never hesitated to help those she loved. Alice had a unique gift for making people laugh, often without even trying. Whether through a quick-witted remark, an innocent comment, her natural sense of humor brightened every room she entered. She devoted her time and energy to her beloved children and amazing granddaughters.

Alice is survived with deep sorrow by her two children, Monica (Andrea) Wilborn-Nieto and Joe Wilborn; her grandaughters, Ava and Amaya Wilborn-Nieto; six siblings, Emma (Johnny) Darilek, Linda (Joe) Lombrana, Robert Samaripa, Edward Samaripa, Manuel Samaripa, and Amanda (Albert) Herrera; many more family and friends.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Tommy and Lilly Samaripa; and her brother, Tommy Samaripa Jr.

The family will be having a service at a later date.

The family deeply appreciates the outpouring of love, prayers, and support during this difficult time. Alice Samaripa's legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
