Alejandra Martinez Espinoza

It is with deep sorrow and profound love that we announce the passing of Alejandra Martinez Espinoza, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend. Alejandra, who was born on July 17, 1937, in Monterrrey Nuevo Leon Mexico, departed this life peacefully on February 1, 2026. She will be remembered for her vibrant spirit and unwavering dedication to her family.

Alejandra was the loving matriarch of her family, survived by her seven sons-Enrique Elizondo, Santiago Elizondo, Jose Elizondo, Roberto Elizondo, Daniel Elizondo, Adolfo Elizondo, and Alejandro Elizondo and her beloved daughter, Maria R. Elizondo. Also surviving are 30 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Her legacy is one of compassion, strength, and unconditional love, qualities that have been instilled in her children and will continue to be passed down through generations.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Santiago Martinez and Maria Espinoza; her husband, Enrique Elizondo.

As we reflect on Alejandra's life, we celebrate the joy she brought into our lives-the laughter shared at family gatherings, the stories told across generations, and the warmth of her embrace. Her commitment to her family and her strong values will always be remembered by those who were fortunate enough to know her.

In honoring her memory visitation will be held Monday, February 9, 2026 at Salinas Funeral Home of Elsa - Chapel of the Angels from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a 7:00 PM Rosary. A 10:00 AM Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday February 10, 2026 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsa. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco, Texas. The family invites all who knew and loved her to come together in remembrance and to celebrate a life well-lived.
