Alberto Rodriguez Vargas, a beloved soul born in Edinburg on January 13, 1948, leaves behind a tapestry of memories woven into the hearts of those who cherished him. He departed this world peacefully at his residence on November 17, 2025, leaving a legacy as rich and comforting as the mornings he greeted with warmth.

Alberto was a man whose laughter echoed like the joyous notes of his cherished 50s music, the melodies of Elvis Presley often filling his home. A funny and friendly spirit, he was known for his giving nature and abiding faith as a devoted Christian, who loved God with all his heart. Each day was a new canvas for him, filled with the rich scents of breakfast and the simple pleasures of life, like relishing his fresh tortillas de harina and savoring his favorite cup of atolito.

Family was at the center of Alberto's universe. He thrived in their presence, where every gathering was an occasion to celebrate love and togetherness. His legacy will continue through his devoted family: his loving mother, Eugenia Vargas; his beloved wife, Ma del Carmen Rodriguez; his cherished sons, Alberto Rodriguez Jr. (married to Nancy), Gregorio Rodriguez, Edwuard Isaiah Rodriguez, Jesus Eduardo Salinas, and Eleazar Salinas Jr.; sisters Janie Rodriguez (married to Eric), Jessica Rodriguez, Sandra Rodriguez, Melissa Rodriguez, Evelyn Monique Rodriguez, and Norma Julissa Salinas Navarro; brothers Rolando Rodriguez, Domingo Rodriguez, and Gregorio Rodriguez; and sisters Estela Rodriguez, Maria Eugenia Rodriguez, and Frances Ozuna Panita Rodriguez. He also leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each carrying a piece of his spirit forward.

Viewing will take place on November 19, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of the Heavens followed by a heartfelt Prayer Service at 7:00 PM. As per his wishes, Mr. Rodriguez will be cremated at a later date.

In this time of reflection and remembrance, we celebrate a life that was beautifully lived. Alberto's generous heart, joyous laughter, and undying love will forever dwell in the hearts of all who knew him, reminding us to treasure every moment as he so beautifully did.
