Brownsville - Adela Amaro, 91, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Valley Baptist Medical Center.

Mrs. Amaro was born August 5, 1933, in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Daughter of Maximiliano Amaro and Julia Aguilar. She is preceded in death by her husband Ramiro Velasco; her parents; brother Pedro Amaro and sisters, Isabel Ortiz, Consuelo Gaytan, Concepcion Hernandez and Sara Cisneros.

Left to cherish her memories is her son Ramiro Amaro; brothers: Antonio Amaro, Reymundo Amaro and Jose Luis Amaro; her sisters: Martha Amaro and Socorro Amaro.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Angels in Brownsville. As per her wishes, she will be cremated at a later date.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Brownsville.
